Maya is a sweet, affectionate girl who is ready to find her forever home. She absolutely adores people and loves being close to her humans, so a home where she has indoor access and can be part of the family would suit her perfectly. Maya would prefer to be the only pet in the home. While she can calmly walk past other dogs and ignore them, she doesn't enjoy forming close friendships and is happiest having her own space. She walks nicely on lead and enjoys getting out and about, so daily exercise will help keep her happy and healthy. Maya is reported to be toilet trained and has some good basic manners. She will also need ongoing grooming to keep her coat in good condition. A home with teenage children or older is recommended, simply because Maya has no known history living with young children, so a calmer, more predictable environment would be best for her. Maya has been diagnosed with a condition called Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex. This is a manageable skin condition that can cause sores or irritation, often linked to allergies such as food or environmental triggers. It isn't contagious to people or other animals. With the right care-such as medication, diet management, or avoiding triggers-many dogs live very comfortable, happy lives. Her future family will just need to keep an eye on her skin and work with a vet if flare-ups occur. Maya has so much love to give and is looking for a home where she can truly be part of the family.
