Lacey has been here 1 year! She will be celebrating her 4th birthday this month and the only birthday present that she has asked for, is to find her forever home! Our lovely Lacey is a large, leggy lady looking for love. Lacey came to us as a stray with no known information. While with us she has shown to be very outgoing and affectionate. Due to being in the shelter for some time, Lacey has learnt some unfavourable barking behaviours while in her pen which has delayed her adoption interest. When she is out for a walk, Lacey is very well mannered and doesn't make a peep. this shows us that with the correct daily enrichment and set up to her new home, Lacey should settle in quiet nicely. Lacey is housetrained, likes to sleep inside and have access to the outdoors, she will need further basic training and lead skills. She would highly benefit from participating in training classes, not only to better develop her manners and obedience, but to build on her dog to dog skills and help build the bond between you and Lacey. Lacey is recommended to be the only pet in the home, she is inexperienced with dogs and prefers her own company. With guidance she could learn to play with her dog friends. She has shown no interest to cat friends so a home with a dog friendly cat may suit with cautious introductions, she has no prior histroy living with children and recommended to be rehomed with children that are over 12 years due to her large size. We did have Lacey in the foster program for TLC and she did really well in the home, Self settled and comfortable spending time on her own.
