Meet Mello - just like his name suggests, this lovely gentleman is as calm and relaxed as they come. It's impossible not to fall for his gentle soul. Mello arrived at GAWS with little background information, and while he was initially unsure of shelter life, he's since settled in beautifully. Now, his sweet, playful, and affectionate nature is shining through. Mello has shown excellent social skills with other dogs and would be more than happy to share his home with a second - or even third - friendly canine companion. His easygoing temperament makes him a wonderful addition to a calm, loving household. As a senior boy, Mello does have some ongoing medical needs. During his time in care, he had a large lump and significant matting removed, and while his beautiful coat is growing back, he'll need regular monitoring for any new lumps. To support his joints, Mello requires ongoing 4Cyte supplements and bi-monthly Pentosan injections to keep him comfortable and mobile. He may need a gradual introduction to indoor/outdoor living, and while he hasn't been tested with cats, thoughtful introductions may be possible.
