My name is Rae and I am a beautiful tabby with a dark streak down my back.
I have been in a foster home for a few weeks. At the start I was a bit reserved but I now enjoy pats and human company. Every morning I am happy to see my humans and receive my first pats and attention for the day. If I like you, I will come and sit on your knee, relax, and appreciate your attention. I don't like being over handled and will swish my tail when I have had enough.
I do like to play. Ping pong balls and small toy mice and feathery dangling things are my toys of choice. I have been known to run through the cat tunnels when playing chasey with one of the other cats. Of special interest to me is the magpies that I can see who come to be fed each morning thru the sliding doors. If only I could get out and get them!
In the foster home were a number of cats. I have been very respectful of the young kitten and the boss cat in the household. However, when I have been in the company of the other cats, my style of play was a little too much for them. In the shelter I have mellowed a lot in the company of others so I could potentially live with another friendly one if we both get our own space and are careful I don't eat their dinner.
I have enjoyed sleeping in front of the fire, on a soft bed, during the cold weather. When the sun shines on the floor in the morning, I will often lounge in its warmth.
I like my food. I eat Hills adult dry food and I will eat most types of wet food. As a treat, I have been given Dine creamy treats and chopped up meat.
I am a relatively easy-going cat, but probably suit a home with older type children. I would really enjoy a home where I can play, spend time with my family but also have my own space when I need to chill.
Needs: Indoor only, confident friendly cat ok, no children (under 10), Dogs OK
DIET: Hills Biome
