Meet Ulf, a stunning one-year-old all-black German Shepherd with movie-star wolf looks and a gentle, thoughtful soul. Ulf came to us as a shy stray with limited confidence and training, but he's been steadily blossoming into a truly special companion. He shines brightest when he has a calm, confident dog to take cues from and will thrive with an owner experienced with shepherds who can offer clear leadership, structure, and guidance (he's not a fan of being babied-he prefers a fair and confident leader). Ulf is working hard on his lead skills, loves being included in adventures, and needs an active home that's committed to building his confidence day by day. He is not suited to a small yard or busy suburban living and will do best with space and a quieter environment where he can feel secure.
