Hello I am Dawn! I'm quite the resilient cat, as a lot has happened in my short little life. I was found in a shed with a broken leg and my 5 kittens, who have now found their forever home. My leg had to unfortunately be amputated, but I've since received a lot of love and I am now ready to find my very own caring, loving and patient forever home. I continue to gain confidence daily learning to live with humans and manage with my three legs. I will certainly surprise you with how fast I can run and play and I have even started to jump up onto the couch and bed. I have a very good batting paw and I quite enjoy small soft toys to bat and kick around, strings and ribbons at the ends of wands or my own tail to chase around. I will need to be an inside cat and my new family will need to understand my boundaries. I can hiss at times when I am feeling threatened, fearful or overexcited. I don't yet really like to be picked up or followed around, so young humans might not be the best for me. I do like to retreat to my safe spot to receive my chin, cheek and ear pats and scratches and will purr when you help me out with getting the right spot. I have started to find my voice and will call out with excitement when you are getting my food ready or I am looking for you when I am ready for some interaction. I have also started to come to you if you have one of those yummy licky treats handy or some roast chicken or ham! Will you be the human who gives me a chance to continue to shine! Indoors only. Ok with children over 7. Will be ok with calm cat.
