Patches is a true ball of energy. He has come from home where cats were not his favourite friends and the owners were struggling to harness his energy. Patches is a young dog requiring thorough ongoing training, practice with leash walking, maintaining calm behaviour and general settling skills. Patches has met a number of dogs and is doing well not feeling so awkward. He would really benefit from a committed, active home where his training could be the focus, so although he has experience with children, a busy child filled home made not be the best option. Patches recently had a short stay in a home with another dog which proved to be challenging, so it is best if he is the only dog in the home so he can have the humans and spaces for himself. Structured ongoing class based training will also be highly beneficial. Patches can be vocal at times and requires patience with maintaining calmness. Patches is a very affectionate boy and travels well in the car. Patches has been flagged with angular leg deformity and patella issues in the hind legs, needing understanding and management.
