If you asked us how we would describe Duke, the answer is simple: he's an absolute joy to be with. Duke is currently living harmoniously with four other dogs - a Kelpie, Red Heeler, Great Dane and Cane Corso - ranging in age from 2 to 13 years. He is beautifully mannered with both young and senior dogs, showing a respectful and adaptable nature while still enjoying a good play. Originally an outdoor dog, Duke has taken to indoor living with ease. He is toilet trained, travels well in the car, and enjoys spending time inside with his people, while still loving the opportunity to explore the world around him. On lead, Duke is well behaved, though he is still adjusting to the sights and sounds of the "big wide world." With the confidence gained from his canine companions, he is making steady and impressive progress. Duke is doing very well with recall training and continues to learn each day. He responds best to calm, positive voices and gentle guidance, and truly thrives when encouraged. At just 7 months old, Duke is still finding his feet in social settings and can occasionally feel overwhelmed, but he is progressing in leaps and bounds. He would suit a wide range of homes - from a single person to a family with children aged 5 and up. Duke would also be very happy living with another dog, where he remains respectful while bringing a playful spark to the household. In short, Duke is a blank canvas - a young, eager dog ready to grow into a truly stunning companion with the right guidance and love.
