Meet Aspen, a beautiful young German Shepherd with a gentle and sensitive soul. At around 11 months old, Aspen is still finding her feet in the world and is looking for a patient, understanding home to help her grow in confidence. Aspen can be quite nervous and unsure in new environments and around unfamiliar people. She's still learning to feel safe and will need a calm, predictable home where she can take things at her own pace. With time, kindness, and consistency, she is already starting to show small but meaningful steps forward. What really helps Aspen shine is the presence of other dogs. She gains confidence from calm, well-balanced companions and looks to them for guidance and reassurance. Because of this, Aspen must be rehomed with a confident, well-socialised male dog who can help show her the ropes and support her as she settles into home life. Aspen has had very little prior training and will need ongoing support with all the basics, including lead training and general manners. She can feel overwhelmed on lead at the moment, so her new home will need to be committed to gentle, positive training and gradual exposure to new experiences. She enjoys the company of other dogs and does best with calm, steady personalities who won't overwhelm her. Aspen may suit a quieter home with children over 10 who can respect her space and allow her to build trust at her own pace. She has not yet been assessed with cats. Aspen will thrive in a home that can provide structure, patience, and plenty of encouragement. Watching her confidence grow will be incredibly rewarding for the right person. If you have a calm home, a confident male dog, and the time to help a shy young girl blossom, Aspen could be the perfect addition to your family. Apply today to meet this special girl πΎπ
