Hi... I'm Bessie I might not be the loudest or the bravest kitty in the room, but if you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion, I think we might be perfect for each other. I'm what you'd call a "quiet observer." I like to sit back, watch the world, and take everything in before I decide it's safe. New things can make me a little unsure at first but if you give me time and a calm and patient approach, I promise I'll come out of my shell. Once I trust you... that's where the magic happens. I love soft pats under my chin, and I'll happily curl up beside you on the couch or in a soft, cosy place to nap (the fluffier, the better). I'm gentle, affectionate, and very loyal and just need someone willing to go at my pace. I sometimes hiss if I feel unsure, but I'm not aggressive. It's just my way of saying "I need a moment". I'm fairly independent and content entertaining myself and enjoy a good balance of company and quiet time. I'd prefer a home without young children as they can be a bit overwhelming for me, but I do enjoy playing with other feline friends and could live with another gentle, relaxed cat as they actually help me feel braver. I'm still building my confidence but if you give me that chance, I'll give you something pretty special in return: quiet companionship, soft cuddles, and a little pair of eyes that look at you like you're my whole world. So... if your home is calm, your heart is patient, and your couch is nice and soft... I think I'd really like to meet you. Indoors only, Ok with cats.
