I'm a bit of a project cat.... I'm slow to warm up to my chosen human but once you have my trust I'm yours for life. Part of my trust issues are that I have been adopted twice and returned to the shelter through no fault of mine, my foster mum says that I'm a great house guest and can't understand why anyone would return me! My foster home is very noisy and busy and I manage to cope here but I would prefer a quieter household, preferably with only one human slave but I can tolerate a spare human if they feed me while the chosen one is at work or elsewhere. Preferably the spare human should know their place and not expect too much from our relationship. My favourite trick with my foster family is to wait for the spare human to leave the room and then hop up on the bed for cuddles with my foster mum. If the spare human comes back into the room I enjoy giving him a look of distain. I'm just as selective with my non human friends, I might tolerate a small quiet dog or a friendly cat if they suit me. I might tolerate spare children humans as long as they respect my boundaries and keep expectations of our relationship low. I know all this might seem like I'm difficult to live with but I'm really not!! I like to be fed dry food twice a day and will graze politely on it. If you want to give me a some wet food I'd appreciate the little treat! No big deal for me if you work long hours or aren't home as much, I like a cuddle in the morning and evening on the bed with the chosen human but otherwise am happy to sit in a sunny window and catch some rays or play with my toys.  I will need a small room to adjust to your house, preferably your bedroom so we can have cuddles but if you take it slow with me after a while you can let me have free access to the house, I'll probably mostly stay in the bedroom but will wander around the house when I feel confident. I'm a really sweet cat, not a mean or aggressive bone in my body just shy and need time and understanding so that I can learn to trust you.
