I can come across a little feisty at first, but I love attention and do enjoy spending quality time with my favourite people.  Right now I have a comfy office to call my bedroom, and I'm very demure and mindful about respecting the space.  I don't scratch furniture or knock things over - but I do like to sit in a chair and pretend I'm an office-worker - so if you work from home I'd happily keep you company all day!  At night I like to cuddle up in a fluffy bed to stay cozy and snore through the night ;)\r\n\r\nI'm not one to really show my emotions too much, so while I might not want to be picked up or jump on your lap, I will rub against your legs while you're around the house, and will follow you around if you tempt me with treats!  Once I get to trust you I do love a good scratch, preferably around my cheeks or just above my tail! That's the sweet spot for me, and it will help build trust with me!  Once I really settle in, you'll find I love to knead and make biscuits when I'm happy, and purr my little heart out!  With my gorgeous long coat, I will require the occasional brush to keep me looking perfect, but I love getting groomed so I'm happy to oblige!\r\n\r\nI've had some dietary troubles in the past, so I would do best as an indoor-only companion so I don't accidentally eat anything harmful.  In addition to this, I'd rather live in a home where I am the only furry friend, as other animals can be a bit much for me.  Similarly, young children don't quite understand my boundaries, so I'd rather live in a mature, adult-only home where we can work, watch TV and enjoy a nice meal together.\r\n\r\nIf you have a nice calm home that I could rule over, please come meet me, and finally give me a chance at a forever home. \r\n\r\nNEEDS: indoors only, no children under 12, no cats, no dogs, regular grooming\r\n\r\nMEDICAL: Betty has an eye condition called Uveitis.  This requires treatment with 'Acular' eye drops, one drop into her left eye, just once daily - current price $10.99 with prescription at Chemist Warehouse.
